Let’s send Andrew to the State House!
a message from andrew
My name is Andrew Namowicz, and I’m a longtime Palatine resident running for the Illinois House of Representatives because families like mine deserve a fighter in Springfield.
By day, I’m a local realtor. I help families plant roots here, make one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and build their futures in our community. That work has shown me how hard everyday people are working to provide for their loved ones, and how much harder it’s gotten in recent years.
I’m running to make life a little easier for our neighbors. That means real relief from skyrocketing costs: groceries, healthcare, housing, and childcare. Families deserve to feel the impact of their tax dollars and see that Springfield is working for them, not against them.
I’m also committed to protecting our most vulnerable communities. My own family is an LGBTQ+ family. My wife is the daughter of immigrants. Mental health challenges touch both sides of our family. I know firsthand how vital it is to stand up for the dignity and rights of every Illinoisan.
In Springfield, I’ll work to lower costs for families, expand access to affordable healthcare and mental health services, protect our most vulnerable communities, and make government more transparent and accountable. Above all, I’ll lead with kindness, integrity, and a commitment to making sure every person feels seen, respected, and valued.
Because at the end of the day, I’m in this fight for families like yours and mine. I hope you’ll join me.
Sincerely,
Andrew Namowicz
Andrew on the issues
💵 Lowering Costs
Families in Palatine and across Illinois are feeling the squeeze. From groceries to gas to childcare, it’s getting harder to keep up. Andrew will fight to lower everyday costs by:
Tackling skyrocketing housing prices and expanding affordable options for working families.
Reducing healthcare costs so no one has to choose between medicine and rent.
Supporting affordable, high-quality childcare so parents can work without breaking the bank.
🌎 Protecting Our Environment
Andrew is committed to leaving a cleaner, safer Illinois for future generations. He will:
Invest in renewable energy to lower costs and reduce pollution.
Protect our air, water, and green spaces from industrial contamination.
Support policies that fight climate change while creating local, green jobs.
🏥 Affordable Healthcare
Healthcare is personal for Andrew. His own family has faced the challenges of high medical costs and navigating mental health care. In Springfield, he will:
Work to lower the cost of prescription drugs and expand access to affordable coverage.
Increase funding for mental health services so families don’t have to wait months for care.
Ensure every community has access to local clinics, providers, and resources—because your health shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code or income.
🔒 Gun Safety & Public Safety
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. Andrew supports:
Common-sense gun safety measures, including universal background checks and safe storage laws.
Funding for community-based violence prevention programs.
Supporting law enforcement while focusing on solutions that reduce crime and build trust.
🗳 Restoring Trust in Government
Andrew believes government should work for the people, not special interests or big donors. In Springfield, he will fight for:
Ranked-Choice Voting to give voters more voice and choice in elections.
Campaign Finance Reform that limits the influence of corporate money and increases small-donor power.
Transparency and Accountability so taxpayers can clearly see how their money is spent and who is influencing legislation.
📚 Strong Public Education
As a longtime resident and community advocate, Andrew believes every child deserves an excellent education close to home. He will:
Increase funding for local schools so students and teachers have the resources they need.
Support smaller class sizes and recruit and retain quality teachers.
Expand access to career and technical training programs that prepare students for good-paying jobs.
🏳️🌈 Standing Up for LGBTQ+ Rights
As a member of an LGBTQ+ family, Andrew knows that equality is not negotiable. He will:
Protect marriage equality and ensure LGBTQ+ families have the same rights and benefits as anyone else.
Oppose discrimination in housing, employment, and healthcare.
Support inclusive policies in schools so every child feels safe and respected.
Andrew believes every person deserves to live with dignity, respect, and the freedom to be themselves—without fear or prejudice.
⚖️ Protecting Reproductive Rights
Andrew believes that decisions about reproductive healthcare should be made by people and their doctors, not politicians. He will:
Defend Illinois’ status as a safe haven for reproductive freedom.
Protect access to contraception, IVF, and comprehensive healthcare.
Fight against any attempts to roll back our reproductive rights.
